The Valve Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration, maintenance, and inspection of fluidic components such as valves, sensors, and actuators. Tasks & missions

General Mission:

  • Analyze and interpret drawings, diagrams, design files, and technical documents provided by engineering.

The Fluid department is responsible for the development the launcher's board fluid systems as well as ground and test facilities fluid systems.

In particular, the fluid department is responsible for:

-Designing the fluid systems in terms of functional needs, system architecture and choice of fluids for all the company fluids’ systems (launcher, ground, and test facilities)

-Choosing the appropriate components to realize the chosen functions

-Modelling the behavior of the system to validate the design

-Defining how the system needs to be operated- Guarantee the safety and reliability of the designed system

-Analyze test results to make sure the system responded as designed

Responsibilities

As Fluid Systems Engineer you will participate in several tasks around fluidic simulation, testing and integration of both ground and on-board equipment. To test all elements of the engine, multiple test benches will be integrated before the end of this year. After which, both stages will need to be integrated and tested as well. The test results will need to be analyzed to see how the system responded in real life conditions.

Tasks & missions

Your main missions will consist in :

· Own critical space or ground-support hardware

· Design and develop fluid and mechanical systems for use on ground support or on the launch vehicle

· Cradle-to-grave ownership of hardware, starting with system architecture, through design and analysis, and ending with integration, testing, and launch.

· Ownership of production and procurement processes relating to Fluid systems

· Apply your well-rounded technical knowledge to demonstrate competent fluidic and structural sizing, routing, and design while considering cost and schedule constraints

Preferred experience & skills

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline

· 2+ years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering or a similarly demanding industry

· 2+ years of hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, and/or testing

· 2+ years of experience with CAD designing parts/assemblies

Proficiency in basic principles of structural mechanics, incompressible and compressible flow, thermodynamics, and materials

· Knowledge of fluidic components including valves, regulators, etc.

· Full engineering design lifecycle experience

· Professional experience using Siemens NX (preferred) or comparable CAD package

Within the Technical Directorate, you will contribute to the design and overall coherence of the launch system, with a particular focus on one of its stages.

Tasks & missions

Reporting to the System Department, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, coherence, and qualification of the system.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Writing and managing system requirements for one launcher stage, and preparing and executing its verification and validation plan;
  • Ensuring consistency between stage specifications, subsystem specifications, and their interfaces;
  • Verifying alignment of the system with operational and launch system-level requirements;
  • Preparing and supervising the stage acceptance specifications and tests;
  • Defining the verification and qualification logic and drafting the validation plan for technical requirements;

Once you’ve submitted your application (resume + cover letter), you enter our hiring process.

  • We review your profile and schedule a short call (approximately 30 minutes) to understand your current situation, your motivations and expectations for this role, while outlining the next steps.
  • If we’re aligned, you’ll meet with the Head of Department and a member of the HR team for an interview (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours). Depending on the position, a technical test may sometimes be part of the process.
  • Some roles may include a second interview with a peer and/or a C-level leader. For on-site interviews, you may also have the opportunity to meet the team and visit our facilities and factory.
  • We then share our final decision and discuss together how the role, responsibilities and conditions can best match your expectations and our needs.

Like all French companies with more than 50employees, Latitude has fulfilled its obligations by declaring and publishing its gender equality index to the Ministry of Labor.

This index allows concerned companies to assess, on a scale of 100 points, the level of equality between men and women based on the following criteria:

  • Gender pay gap: the difference between the average salaries of men and women, ideally aiming for a gap of 0 for perfect equality;
  • Difference in individual raise rates: percentage of women and men who received raises during the year;
  • Gender parity among the top 10 highest earners:percentage of women and men who received raises during the year;
  • Number of female employees receiving raises after maternity leave.
