The intern’s duties will be :

• Analyze requirements and draft functional and organizational specifications in collaboration with all stakeholders involved in the project.
• Validate with internal (HSE) and external official (VERITAS/APAVE) bodies the safety measures implemented throughout this project (preliminary risk analysis, drafting of DUERP in collaboration with HSE, compliance with the machinery directive for design, production, and acceptance).
• Design mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic sub-assemblies using NX software in collaboration with the DT and DO departments.
• Know how to initiate manufacturing (internal/external) while meeting cost/quality/deadline objectives.
• Contact suppliers, analyze quotes, hold technical discussions, and manage the supplier schedule.
• Be a source of proposals for technical/organizational improvements on a daily basis.
• Promote project-based management, initiative, direct communication, and information sharing among all project stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Assist with the assembly of designed sub-assemblies and participate in acceptance/qualification testing.
• Learn to identify the root cause using tools such as FMEA/5M/5Why/QQOQCCP/brainstorming.

Education : Engineering student. End-of-study internship

The intern’s duties will be :

• Write Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) procedures for the onboard electronics sub-assemblies for the EPSILON project.
•  Develop automated procedures in the Syclone environment.
•  Set up the measurement acquisition system via the Beckhoff PLC ecosystem (HMI development, card selection, cabling, etc.).
• Participate in the design of integration and validation benches for electronic equipment.

The intern will learn about AIT electrical and electronic processes in the aerospace and Newspace sectors.

Technical skills:

• Excel and databases
• Knowledge of electronics and test script and HMI development.

You will contribute to enhance the performance and reliability of mission-critical software.

Your missions will include:

• Designing and implementing REST APIs and WebSocket connections for real-time data exchange.
• Developing back-end services in Python and optimizing database interactions (SQL).
• Ensuring data integrity and efficient processing for mission analysis tools.
• Participating in testing, validation, and performance optimization.
• Documenting technical specifications and system architecture.

The intern will develop skills:

The intern’s duties will be :

• Carry out fault tree analyses by driving working groups
• Identify ways of improving safety and reliability
• Analyze Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams as well as electrical diagrams to identify possible failures
• Calculate theoretical subsystems and systems reliability
• Identify and mitigate critical points
• Draft loop diagrams helping understand how electrical and fluidic systems are interfaced

As part of their duties, the intern will:

• Perform internal inspection/measurement of parts manufactured internally or externally
• Write control procedures for measurement operations
• Compile statistics on measurements and support defect analysis
• Potentially create a simple program on the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Calculate measurement uncertainty and process capability

He will learn various things :

• Implement and document a complete measurement protocol
• Analyze defects to improve the quality of received and internally produced parts
• Use a CMM for basic dimensional inspections

Education: 2nd year and above in a Bachelor of Technology in Physical Measurements (BUT Mesures Physiques)

Technical skills: Use of basic inspection tools, development of measurement protocols, measurement analysis, technical drawing interpretation

The main responsibilities for this position include:

▪ Improving a clock synchronization feature to produce a disciplined clock for a CPU, based on external synchronization signals
▪ Developing specialized hardware drivers for RS422 based communication protocols
▪ Offloading specific CPU computations to the FPGA to improve system performance
▪ Developing software test benches, plan and run integration tests to validate the behavior of the IPs

▪ Education: Pursuing a degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related field
▪ Technical skills: Proficiency in Hardware Description Language, preferably VHDL. Knowledge of typical microcontroller’s communication protocols is a plus (RS422, Ethernet, etc..)

An intern is needed to lead the development of this tool, leveraging data already available from an internal protocol description system. This project will play a key role in enhancing diagnostic capabilities across engineering teams and ensuring mission reliability.

• State-of-the-art of network protocol analysis
• Generate a complete ethernet decoding plugin from internal data (Wireshark)
• Document the development (user manual, test plan ..)
• Participate in avionics test campaign

The candidate will develop strong technical skills in network protocol analysis, Python programming, and plugin development for Wireshark. The intern will collaborate closely with engineers, improving their ability to communicate technical ideas, manage project timelines, and deliver robust and maintainable software in a multidisciplinary environment.

The Fluid & Propulsion Systems Department is responsible for the development of the launcher’s main engines, auxiliary propulsion, onboard fluid systems, as well as ground and test facilities fluid systems.

Within this department, the Fluid Systems team specifically focuses on:

• Designing fluid systems based on functional needs, system architecture, and fluid selection for all company fluid systems (launcher, ground, and test facilities).
• Choosing the appropriate components to meet the functional requirements.
• Modeling system behavior to validate design choices.
• Defining operation procedures for the fluid systems.
• Ensuring safety and reliability across all designed systems.
• Analyzing test results to verify system behavior and performance.
• Optimizing existing systems to improve reliability and efficiency.

As a Group Lead – Fluid System Engineer, you will play a dual role, combining technical expertise and managerial leadership. While actively contributing to the design and development of the launcher’s fluid systems, you will also be responsible for leading and structuring a team of 8 full-time engineers, ensuring efficient project execution, resource management, and talent development.

Technical leadership and coordination

• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of fluid systems for the launcher, ground, and test facilities.
• Ensure that system functional needs, architecture, fluid selection, and component choices align with performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Guide the team in system modeling, test analysis, and optimization to improve efficiency and robustness.
• Ensure smooth coordination with other engineering teams, integrating fluid systems within the overall vehicle architecture.
• Contribute to strategic planning and technical roadmaps, in collaboration with the Department Head.

Team management

• Lead, support, and mentor a team of engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing, technical efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Define human and budgetary resource needs, in alignment with the Team Lead and company priorities.
• Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development discussions, in coordination with HR.
• Support the team’s skills development by identifying relevant training opportunities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or energy engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the aerospace, chemical, or energy industry (or similar), including experience in a leadership or coordination role.
• Strong expertise in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and system modeling.
• Knowledge of valves, pressure regulators, and industrial piping is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with modeling software (EcoSim), CAD tools (NX, Catia), CFD tools (Fluent, Star CCM+), and programming languages (Python, Matlab, Fortran) is highly appreciated.
• Strong team leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Fluent in English (French is a plus).
