Head of Launch System
Job Description
Integrated within the technical team, you will be responsible for the global coherency of the Launch System (Launcher & means). You will have to lead a team of system engineers to guarantee the consistency of the Launch System internally with other departments, and externally with our partners.
Responsibilities
Tasks and missions
Your mission includes:
- Manage the technical consistency and the reliability of the Launch System and its sub-systems
- Manage the qualification of the Launch System and its sub-systems
- Manage your team and the project alongside partners,
- Coordinate crossover topics between other technical departments
- Manage the progress of the project
- Prepare financial document and budgets
Preferred experience and skills
- You have a good knowledge of the several technical parts of a launcher.
- You already worked on the design of mechanical, fluidic or electrical systems of a launcher
- A first experience as a system or functional engineer is mandatory
- You are a good promoter and able to sell a solution
- You are able to manage a team and being responsible for a project and budget.
- You have a good culture on space engineering and launcher issues.
- Your level of English allows you to understand technical documentation and work and exchange with English-speaking interlocutors. Being fluent in French is a plus to easily blend into the existing team.
- You are able to establish some consensus
- You are able to be a decision maker
